Project Scope

Abrey Agricultural approached Rade to assist with the redesign and development of the company website. The client was keen to take a relatively hands-off approach, putting trust in Rade to define the structure and pull together the content for the site.

A stronger emphasis on farm machinery was the challenge when designing the new Abrey Agriculture website. Taking on the distribution of the German brand Ziegler, Abrey wanted to demonstrate their business now encompasses far more than ground care equipment and ATVs. Capitalising on the generation of new leads at the LAMMA machinery show at the NEC, timing of the website launch was crucial.

Solution

Abrey Agriculture was keen that the machinery products should take centre-stage and therefore the design followed a relatively simple approach incorporating the company branding as well as bold imagery. Putting agriculture at the forefront, the homepage features a video showcasing the Ziegler range of cultivators and specialist combine headers.

Clear navigation guides visitors to Ziegler’s tillage and harvesting equipment and the Suire range of mowers and yard tools; each with a full feature list, tech spec and photo gallery. To ensure updating the machinery featured is quick and simple, the site uses the Umbraco open source web platform.

This makes content management trouble-free, a quality Rade wanted to replicate when project managing the new site. Rade provided all design, build and content preparation, working with machinery manufacturers to source imagery and specifications.

The site was launched on time for the LAMMA exhibition and has subsequently helped raise the profile of the business.
