Project Scope

Following a full rebrand of the business, Xaar approached Rade to re-skin their corporate website. Rade had built the previous website using the Umbraco content management system, so the scope of this new project was to work in collaboration with their brand agency to take concept designs and roll them out across the site. As a second part to this, the client required a comprehensive redesign of the Investors section of the site.

For the initial phase of the project, the change in design necessitated the development of some new custom features and functionality. However, the greatest challenge was the need to turn the development work around quickly to meet an ambitious brand launch date.

For the second phase, the scope of work included design work as well as development.

Solution

The approach adopted for each phase of the project was slightly different given the timescales involved. Although not a complex project, the tight timescale for phase 1 meant that exceptionally clear communication lines were needed between the client, branding agency and Rade.

To assist the smooth running of the project, Rade provided detailed design guidelines and assistance to the brand agency to allow them to quickly and efficiently produce designs that would work within the parameters of the site, thus speeding up the rollout process.

For the second phase of the project (thankfully with a somewhat less ambitious deadline), Rade worked closely with the Client and created the new Investors section in-line with the revised brand.

Because the Client had opted to continue with the Umbraco CMS, the rollout process was relatively straightforward and both phases of the project were successfully delivered on budget and within the agreed timeframes.
